William "Bill" Buxton Wall

William B Wall (Bill) age 93, of Aiken, SC, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, June 16, 2017.  Survived by Barbara Wall, wife of 69 years, he was the son of David H Wall and Marie Wall, and preceded in death by his daughter Susan Bumgarner. He is survived by his daughters Sandra (Rick) Dennard and Judi (Renee) Blatchley; five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Bill served in the US Navy in the Pacific during WWII. He earned a BS degree from Georgia Tech in general engineering and throughout his career worked as a mechanical and structural engineer. He attended St Paul Lutheran Church. Bill, an eagle scout, loved the outdoors, hiking, camping and growing plants. Visitation will be at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home on Pine Log Rd in Aiken, SC from 10:00-11:30 on Monday, June 19, 2017. The funeral will follow at St Paul Lutheran Church at 2pm. The family will receive guests following the service. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah, GA. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 1 pm. Memorials may be made to St Paul Lutheran Church Endowment Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association.
