William John Bowen, Jr.

AIKEN, SC - William John “Bill” Bowen, Jr., 73, beloved husband of Anne Forbes Bowen, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 just hours from his 74^th birthday.

Born in Cambridge, MA, Bill was a son of the late William John and Mary Mackenzie Bowen.  He grew up in Lexington, MA, attended Lexington High School and graduated from Boston College with a Business Major.  He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.  He retired from Stark Carpet Co. at the Boston Design Center.  After retirement, Bill and Anne lived on Cape Cod for 30 years before moving to Aiken 13 years ago.  A constant putterer, Bill was an artist, woodworker and exceptional wood carver.  He dearly loved working around the house.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 38 years, Anne, are cousins, extended family and many friends.

A private gathering will be held at his home at a later date.
