The daughter of the late Stanley and Eve Lewis, she was predeceased by her former husband, Rory O’Neill.
She was a graduate of Pine Manor College and attended the University of Colorado Boulder. Her love for animals, particularly horses, led her to "horse country" in Aiken, SC where she built herself a “gentle-ladies” ranch, Windy Hill Farm.

Wendy is also survived by her beloved horses, Drambuie and Mica, and her six dogs Bella, Dottie, Harley, Mobey, Rueben and Milo. She lived for these animals, and they adored her.
Wendy spent her life doing the things she loved, including traveling the globe, snorkeling, fly-fishing and attending many concerts. She loved attending the Steeplechase each Spring and Fall in Aiken. Wendy lived her dream..... and always did it her way. She will be missed by many and forgotten by few.
