Wayne Thomas Sullivan

Wayne Thomas Sullivan, 75, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 4, 2026, following a yearlong battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, pharmacist, educator, and proud United States Air Force veteran.

Born on February 7, 1950, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Wayne lived a full and interesting life shaped by service, intellect, curiosity, and a strong sense of independence. His years in the United States Air Force were an important part of his life, and he carried the pride of his service with him throughout the years.

Following his military service, Wayne built a rewarding career in pharmacy. He was a knowledgeable and dedicated pharmacist who valued the opportunity to help others. His interest in medicine and education also led him to teach pharmacology courses, where he shared his knowledge and experience with students preparing for careers in healthcare.

Wayne was a man of many interests and had a natural curiosity about the world around him. He particularly enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife, collecting experiences and stories along the way. Travel gave him a sense of adventure and discovery that he greatly enjoyed.

Wayne valued his independence, his work, and the people who were important to him. He was not one to seek the spotlight or make a show of his feelings, but those close to him never doubted his love and commitment. He expressed his love in quieter ways—through his presence, his dependability, and his willingness to help.

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Debora Ann Baglivio Sullivan, of Aiken, SC; his daughters, Heather Sullivan (Rico) of Henderson, NV, Donna Manuels (Brendan) of Roswell, GA, and Dee Dee Ware (Corby) of Aiken, SC; and his grandchildren, Audrey, Adalyn, CJ, and Gianna, who called him “Poppy” and brought him great joy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Sullivan; his mother, Elinor Sullivan; his sister, Maureen Woodward; and his brother Barry Sullivan.

Services will be held privately at the family’s request.
