Virginia Holley Bloss

January 24, 1927 — October 8, 2022

Virginia Holley Bloss entered into eternal life on October,8 2022. She was born in Charleston, West Virginia to parents William a Rose Holley. She was married to her loving husband, Carl Bloss, for 66 years. She leaves behind children Steven Bloss (Jeanette) of Blythewood, SC and Sharon Rains of Charleston, SC. She had three grandchildren Jeffrey Malmgren (deceased) (Kim), Holley Owings (Matt) and Leslie Bloss and four great grandchildren.

She and Carl moved to Aiken, SC in 1952 to make their home and raise their family. They embraced their new life in South Carolina and felt blessed to have settled in such a lovely town. They enjoyed working in their yard and spending time with family and friends at their beloved Pawleys Island cottage. Along with raising her family she enjoyed trips with her friends, “The Valley Girls.” She worked at Owens Corning Fiberglas in Aiken as a secretary for twenty years before retiring to enjoy a more relaxing pace with more time for family, friends, and travel. She and Carl were blessed to be able to travel to Canada, Alaska, London, Scotland and as far away as China. Virginia was always curious and absorbed every detail of her surroundings. She held those memories very dear in her later life and she loved sharing them with family and friends. She was always a steady source of positive guidance and support for her family and friends. She will be missed.

She was blessed to be able to live in the home she cherished until her passing. Her family thanks the “ANGELS” in her life, her beloved caregivers that were her companions every day. She looked forward to their company and catching up on the news around Aiken. The family will have a private memorial at a later date. Memorial contributions may be sent to The Valley Empty Stocking Fund, PO Box 517 Langley, SC.
