Victor L. Blackwood

Victor Lee “Chief” Blackwood, 70, peacefully departed this life on September 30, 2025, and went to be with the Lord in his heavenly home.

A native of Clinton, Oklahoma, Victor was the son of the late William Douglas Blackwood and Betty Williams Blackwood Gray.

Victor dedicated 26 years of his life working at the Savannah River Site. Known for his warm heart, he was a devoted father who loved his family dearly. Victor enjoyed spending time at the beach, listening to music and watching classic television shows. He loved animals, particularly his cats, Victoria, Bear and Peanut.

He is survived by his spouse, Sandra Blackwood; two daughters, Breanna Barton (Eddie) and Meredith Smith (Chad); and eight grandchildren: Jackson Barton, Spencer Barton, Nash Barton, Max Smith, Hudson Smith, Holly Smith, Kaleb Woodward, and Colton Blackwood.

Victor was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford Allen Gray, and his son, Clinton Douglas Blackwood.
