On Wednesday, July 29th, 2026, Thomas "Tom" Henry McCullough, Jr., 84 years old, passed peacefully in his sleep at his home on the Savannah River in Augusta, Georgia.
Tom was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 23rd, 1941 to the proud parents of Winifred "Wimpy" Dent McCullough and Thomas Henry McCullough, Sr. In addition to the heavenly reunion with his parents, he was reunited with his sister, Suellen Robinson; his brother, James "Jimmy" Edward McCullough; and his much-loved nephew, Joey Odom, the son of Suellen. He was also predeceased by his children's mother, Gracie.
Left here to honor and share his memory are his wife, Tonia Martin McCullough; his daughter, Lisa McCullough Adams; his son, Thomas Henry "Hank" (Cindy) McCullough, III; his grandsons, Archie Kyle (Ainhoa Rivera) Adams and Thomas Grayson (Hannah) McCullough; his great grandchildren Aaron Adams, Aitor Adams and Haven McCullough, as well as Tom's many nieces and nephews and his sisters-in-law Carole McCullough and Yvonne (Charles) Shirley.
Tom graduated high school in 1959 from Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, Florida. He left Florida to attend LeTourneau University, Longview, Texas, where, in 1965, he earned a BS in Industrial Engineering and helped organize and start the first rodeo in the school's history, which is still ongoing today.
If you would like to honor Tom and continue his steadfast commitment to help others, memorials can be made to Cedar Creek Church (www.cedarcreekchurch.net/give/) and Overflow Foundation (www.overflow.foundation)
