Tammy Ellison Hutto

November 3, 1963 — January 4, 2026

Bostic, NC

Tammy Ellison Hutto, 62, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Born in Kings Mountain, NC on November 3, 1963, she was the daughter of Buford Pearson and Doris Pearson.

In addition to her parents, Tammy was also preceded in death by her precious daughter, Heather Joiner, brother Brian Keith Ellison, brother in law Jeffrey Hutto, and in-laws Ethel and Raymond Hutto.

Tammy loved her children and grandchildren beyond measure. She found great joy in cooking for family and friends, especially during the holidays, when she cherished spending time in the kitchen with her grandchildren. Each summer held a special place in her heart as she devoted that time to her grandson, Seth. She also devoted five cherished years to caring for her grandson, Patrick, lovingly supporting him each day while her daughter, Heather, worked.

Tammy was a devoted caregiver to many family members during times of need, including her father and in-laws in their elder years, as caring for others brought her deep fulfillment. She shared an unbreakable bond with her husband of 40 years, Tim Hutto, whom she adored with all her heart.

Tammy also treasured her many Facebook friends. She was always available to stop and pray for any friend in need. Above all else, her greatest joy in life was being a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother.

Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Tammy was a woman of great faith and never wavered in spite of her hardships. When asked how she endured the loss of her daughter, Heather, she often quoted

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Timothy Hutto of Bostic, NC, and son Benjamin Hutto of Aiken, SC, and grandsons Seth Killian of Daytona Beach, FL, and Patrick Joiner of Augusta, GA. Her siblings, Tina Byrne (Scott), Billy Ellison, Mary Wusterbarth (Danny), Hunter Pearson (Ashley) and Jonathan Pearson, all of China Grove, NC. Her brother-in laws Raymond Hutto Jr. (Jody) of Evans, GA, Anthony Hutto of Aiken SC, and Jeffey Hutto Jr. of NC.

She is further survived by her nieces and nephews, Brooke Wusterbarth, Rachel Hutto (Sean Gillespie), Baker Wusterbarth, Breann Wusterbarth, Bailey Wusterbarth, Bentley Clark, Raelyn Pearson and Adelyn Pearson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday January 11, 2026, from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM at Good Hope Baptist Church with the funeral immediately following at 2:30 PM. Pastor Tim Nardi will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
