Suzanne Wilcox Zahl

SUZANNE ELIZABETH WILCOX ZAHL, 84, beloved wife of the late Roy Zahl, passed away Thursday morning, May 18, 2023 in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

A native of New Haven, CT, Suzanne was a daughter of the late Albert Monroe and Pauline Suzanne Linaberry Wilcox, Jr. She lived most of her life in Aiken County before moving to Martinez, GA 4 years ago.  She trained and raced horses and bred and trained Labrador Retrievers.  She was a member of New Life Church in Martinez, GA.

Survivors include two daughters, Leila Ann McWee and Victoria Marie Redd (Barrett, Sr.) both of Martinez, GA; two sons, Harold Julian Huffman, Jr., Thomson, GA and Patrick Monroe Huffman, Sr. (Terina), Hephzibah, GA; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Pete Wilcox, Evans, GA.  In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Linaberry Huffman.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 26th at noon at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home.
