Susan Debra Morris, 72, of Aiken County, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2026.

Susan was born on October 14, 1953, in Aiken County, South Carolina, and was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from Aiken High School and briefly worked as a nurse, dedicating herself to caring for others. Susan shared 37 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Bruce Wayne Morris. Through life’s joys and challenges, Bruce remained a steadfast source of love, loyalty, and support. Their enduring commitment to one another was a testament to the strength of their bond. More than anything,

Susan loved her family. She was a devoted mother and a devoted grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with those she loved. She especially looked forward to the family’s annual beach reunions each summer, where countless memories were made together. Susan was also a wonderful cook and became known for baking the special cakes that graced every Christmas gathering, a tradition her family will always cherish.

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Bruce Wayne Morris; her children, Natasha Friesen and husband Philip Friesen, Regina Partap and her husband Miguel Partap, and Bruce Morris Jr. and wife Manon Morris; her grandchildren, Noah Potter, Samantha Potter, Soren Partap, Amira Partap, Joshua Fair, Elise Friesen, Eli Byars, and Austin Byars; her sister, Barbara Padgett Geiger; and her brothers, Tim Padgett, and Troy Padgett and wife Katrell Padgett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo “Al” Padgett and Eileen Elizabeth Padgett and her brothers, Mike Padgett and Tommy Padgett. Susan will be remembered for her love of family, the joy she brought to holiday gatherings, her delicious cakes that became a treasured Christmas tradition, and the many memories she created with those she loved. Her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared with her family will live on in their hearts forever.
