AIKEN, SC – SHAWN ELBERT COUCH, 38, died Sunday, September 26, 2021.
Born in Fairhope, AL, Shawn was a son of Cheryl Tyson Couch and the late George Elbert Couch, Jr. He lived most his life in Aiken and was a union carpenter with Local #283 at the Savannah River Site.
Shawn loved his country and was very patriotic. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping and traveling. He was a great uncle to his nieces and nephews, and he loved animals.
Surviving are his wife, Heather Todd Couch; mother, Cheryl; sisters, Carol Ann Bond (William), Erica Lynn Phillips (Alex); brother, Coley Adam Couch, all of Aiken; his godson, Trevin Stutts; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. In addition to his father, Shawn was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas George Couch.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, October 1st from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be Saturday morning, October 2nd at 10 o’clock at Aiken Oasis Church, 2558 Wagener Rd., Aiken, SC with The Rev. Raymond Popham officiating. Interment will follow in Graniteville Cemetery.
