Sandra Davis "Sandy" Anthony

AIKEN, SC - Sandra Davis "Sandy" Anthony, a beloved member of the community, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the age of 80. She was born on December 12, 1942, in Hickory, North Carolina to her late parents, Bill and Pauline Short Davis. Sandy was a remarkable woman who lived a fulfilling life surrounded by family and friends.

She dedicated her time and efforts to making a positive impact on those around her. Sandy had a deep faith and was an active member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Hickory, NC. Her love for people and children shone through as she pursued careers that allowed her to connect with others on a personal level. She was known for her sincerity, kindness, and genuine care for those she encountered.

One of Sandy's greatest joys in life was her family. Her loved ones always held a special place in her heart, and she cherished each moment spent with them. Sandy's devotion to her family was unwavering, and they were her top priority. She leaves behind lasting memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.

In addition to being a beloved mother and grandmother, Sandy had an accomplished career as a Realtor spanning over 20 years. Her professionalism and dedication to serving others made her an asset to the industry.

Sandy is survived by her grandchildren William Thomas Anthony, Alexandra Lynn Anthony, Emily Raven Anthony, and Ivy Scott Anthony. She is also survived by her sister Dixie Icard of Hildebrand, NC, and brothers Mike (Sylvia) Davis of Hickory, NC and Jeff Davis of Salisbury, NC.

Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, the late William Gary Anthony, as well as by her sons, William Todd Anthony and Gary "Scott" Anthony.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 9th at St John's United Methodist Church Chapel in Aiken, SC. The service will begin at 11:00 AM at 104 Newberry St NW. The family will receive friends following the service in Ward Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
