Sallie Rankin Wise

SALLIE RANKIN WISE. 85, widow of George W. Wise, Sr., passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at home with her loving family by her side.

A native of Wagener, SC, Sallie was a daughter of the late Paul and Sallie Whittle Rankin.  She was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, and worked for a number of years as a preschool teacher at Service Council with the United Way.  She was also a former private duty health care provider.  Sallie was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.

Surviving are her sons, George W. Wise, Jr., Aiken, Patrick Sheehan (Vickie), Germansville, PA; a grandson, Jason Sheehan; her sister, Pauline Woodward, Aiken.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by eight siblings.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning, August 26^th beginning at 11 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at Noon with The Rev. Dewayne Anderson officiating.  Interment will be private.
