Ruth Elaine Schuon

AIKEN, SC - Ruth Elaine Schuon, 98, formerly of Allentown, PA, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Nancy Jarvis, in Aiken, SC on Saturday, April 10, 2021. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James, with whom she shared 73 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, PA on April 22, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Minnie Kline. Ruth enjoyed baking, sewing, and gardening. They are only a small portion of her legacy. She was a mentor and inspiration to her family and all she met. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church, the Joy Sunday School Class and Aiken Outdoors. A heartfelt thank you to the Hospice nurses, Kelly, Laurie, Terri and Herk. Left behind in anticipation of His glorious appearance are a sister Beverly Metzger; Daughter Nancy Jarvis; Sons Matthew and wife Sue, Luke and wife Suzanne, and John and wife Verna; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her son Mark, son-in-law G. Terry Jarvis and granddaughter Rebecca Jarvis. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 in Allentown, PA.
