Ruby Crowe Prince

Ruby Crowe Prince, 94, passed away peacefully in her home in Aiken, SC, Tuesday, April 21, 2026. Born on October 25, 1931, in Cashiers, NC, Ruby lived a long and fulfilling life marked by warmth, dedication, and love for those around her.

Ruby was a steadfast member of the South Aiken Presbyterian Church, where she found community and spiritual solace throughout her years. She worked for many years as a Key Punch operator at Graniteville Company, retiring in 1986. Her work ethic was matched only by her passion for the simple joys of life.

Those who knew Ruby remember her deep love for flowers and gardening, a pastime that brought color and life into her home and heart. She was also an avid fisherman and a devoted cat lover, cherishing the quiet moments spent in nature and in the company of her feline companions.

Ruby was the beloved wife of Marion E. Prince for 71 cherished years until his passing in 2022. Her parents, Luther and Vashtie Harden Crowe, also preceded her, as did her sister Pauline Crowe Partain and brother Alvin Crowe.

She is survived by her loving son, James Prince, and daughter, Margaret Foster, both of Aiken, SC.

A graveside service will be held Monday morning, April 27th at 11 o'clock in Sunset Memory Gardens, located at 2648 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Graniteville, SC with The Rev. Frank Cunningham officiating.
