Ruby Pugh Jones

AIKEN – Mrs. Ruby Pugh Jones, 95, widow of the late Horace Jones, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Hyder officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ridge Spring Cemetery. Mrs. Jones was born in Wrens, GA to the late Paul and Ada Belle Perdue Pugh. She had been a resident of Aiken County since 1923 and a member of Belvedere First Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones enjoyed working in the garden and growing flowers. She cherished visiting with family and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Jones (Robert) Goings, Graniteville, SC; son-in-law, James Stone, Jr.; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Fred) Wilhite, Toni Goings, Kimberly (Bobby) Day, Jason (Michelle) Goings, James (Rebecca) Stone, III; seven great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren and a brother, Douglas (Claire) Pugh of North Augusta, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Stone.
