RUBY LEE GUTHRIE, 80, beloved widow of David Guthrie, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning, December 21, 2024 in Anchor Post Acute Care.
A native of Chattanooga, TN, Ruby was a daughter of the late Carl Thomas and Ruby Lee Cronnon Lynn. In 1974, she and David made their home in Aiken County, where she dedicated herself to being a loving homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Byron Guthrie, Jr., Aiken; four grandchildren, Casey Wade (Chris), Lauren Redd (Joey), Alex Guthrie (Rachael), Aiden Guthrie; a sister, Darlene Richardson, Pensacola, FL.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Lynn and a sister, Thelma Simerler.
No service is planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children (lovetotherescue.org).
