Ronald Elkins

     Ronald (Ron) Elkins, 83, of Aiken, SC, formerly of Bensenville, IL, died peacefully in his sleep on January 23, 2023, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.

     Ron was the son of the late Orr (Crawford) and Mildred (Gasser) Elkins.

     Ron is survived by his loving wife Charlene and was the beloved father to Ronald Jr. (Carol) and Kevin Elkins. He is also survived by fond brothers O.C. Elkins; Ben (Christie) Elkins; Glenn (Pat) Elkins; David (Linda) Wheatley; Larry (Laura) Wheatley; and Clifford (Diana) Wheatley. He was the fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.

     Ron was the plant manager at the now defunct Duo-Fast Corporation, in Franklin Park, IL. He was a graduate of Lake Forest College.

     Ron loved retirement in Cedar Creek and was one of the founding members of the Chi-Wa-Wa Golf Club.

     A Graveside service will be held Saturday afternoon, February 4^th at 1 o’clock in Bledsoe Cemetery, Wallens Creek, Jonesville, VA.

     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the organization of your choosing, or to the FOTAS Animal Shelter, in Aiken, SC.
