Robert Vernon Yonce

Robert Vernon Yonce, 83, of Statesville, N.C., went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2023. Robert was born on December 22, 1939, to Vernon William and Margaret Timmerman Yonce, in Aiken, South Carolina.

     Robert is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Gerri Yonce and Katherine Ann Yonce.

     Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marsha Ann Butler Yonce, son, Gary Yonce; grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda) Yonce, Jennifer Yonce; great grandchildren, Summer Wood, Cayden Yonce, Weston Yonce, Penelope Wilson; and sister, Phyllis (Mike) Hallman.

     Robert retired from G.L. Wilson, attended Western Ave Baptist Church, and absolutely loved to sleep.

     The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, January 8^th beginning at 1 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 2 o’clock.  Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Cemetery, Johnston, SC.

     In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name may be made to any charity of your choice.
