Robert Wendell Stow, Jr.

Robert Wendell Stow Jr. of Aiken passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side. Born and raised in Aiken, Robert was the son of the late Robert Stow Sr. and Mary Sue Cantrell Stow. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Stow.

He is survived by his devoted wife of thirty eight years, Sandy Stow, his children Alex Stow (Laura) of Aiken, and Taylor Stow of Augusta; and his beloved grandchildren, Livia Stow, Murray Stow-Yon, and Levi Stow. He is also survived by his sister, Sheron Damani of Spartanburg, nephews, Anil and Rohan Damani and his Aunt Pat Crawley of Aiken.

Robert worked as an electrical and instrumental mechanic and retired from the Savannah River Site after 40 years of dedicated service. Robert was a graduate of Aiken High School class of 1978. Known for his quick wit, intelligence, and artistic talent, Robert brought humor and creativity to everything he did. Robert loved spending time with his family at Lake Murray and golfing with his friends.

He will be deeply missed by his family and all who were fortunate to know him.

A visitation will be held from 3:00-4:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM, Friday, October 24, 2025, in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Grayson "Butch" Blackwell officiating.
