Robert James "Jimmy" Rhoden

Robert James “Jimmy” Rhoden passed away on June 20, 2023 at his home in Columbia, SC due to complications from diabetes.

     Born January 27, 1982 he was the son of Robert and Susanne Rhoden. Jimmy graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors and Masters of Computer Engineering. He enjoyed following the Gamecocks, especially football. He was employed by DDI Technologies as a senior software engineer.

     In addition to his parents Jimmy is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Mary Leslie and John Whitehead and a nephew, Michael Whitehead. He also leaves behind his beloved cats, Swayze and Loki.

     Jimmy enjoyed volunteering at Pawmetto Lifeline, an animal protection organization in Columbia. Donations in memory of Robert James Rhoden may be made to Pawmetto Lifeline, 1275 Bower Pkwy, Columbia, SC 29212

     The family and friends of Jimmy will celebrate his life in the Faith Center at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Aiken on Saturday, July 8^th at 11 o’clock with The Revs. Dr. Tim McClendon and Butch Blackwell officiating.  A reception will follow in Ward Hall.  Private inurnment will be in the church’s columbarium.
