Robert Charles Page

Robert Charles Page, 93, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026. He was born on July 4, 1933, in Rochester, New York.

After graduating from high school in Rochester, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 to 1955, attaining the rank of Sergeant.

Following his military service, Bob attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1961. It was during his time at Bowling Green that he met the love of his life, Anita Purdum, on a blind date on January 13, 1956. They were married on May 18, 1957, and recently celebrated 69 years of marriage.

Bob dedicated his career to education. While teaching elementary school in North Olmsted, Ohio, he continued his education and earned a Master of Education degree from Kent State University in 1967. He later became an elementary school principal before retiring from education in 1984.

In retirement, Bob and Anita enjoyed traveling together. Their travels eventually led them to Florida, where they lived for a time, before making Aiken, South Carolina, their home in 2005.

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be remembered for the love and kindness he shared with those around him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Anita, of 69 years; his daughter, Linda May, and her husband, Scott; two granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren.

Per Bob's wishes, he will be cremated, and no formal services will be held. The family invites Bob's friends and loved ones to take a moment to say a prayer in remembrance of a loving and wonderful person whose life touched many.
