Robert “Dr. Bob” Molkenthin passed away peacefully on May 19, surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara; his daughters, Molly (Don) and Marilyn (Jay); and his cherished granddaughter and grandson.

Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose life was defined by his passion for education and service to others. Known to many simply as “Dr. Bob,” he embodied the very best qualities of an educator—dedicated, compassionate, and unwavering in his commitment to students and schools. During his distinguished career, he was honored twice as Teacher of the Year, a reflection of the profound impact he made on countless lives.

Dr. Bob will be remembered not only as a teacher, but as a leader and advocate who never stopped fighting for the education system he believed in so deeply. His influence extended far beyond the classroom, inspiring generations of students, colleagues, and community members alike.

In accordance with his wishes, no memorial service will be held. His family asks that he simply be remembered as “Dr. Bob,” the teacher who made a difference.
