Robert "Bob" Eugene Harrison, a devoted family man and seasoned truck driver, passed away suddenly on May 14, 2026, while working in Beaufort, South Carolina. Born on August 27, 1964, in Berea, Kentucky, Bob’s life was marked by dedication both to his work and to the people he loved.

Bob graduated from Madison Central High School in Richmond, Kentucky, and built a career rooted in the open road. He spent many years in over-the-road trucking, subsequently driving for Borden Dairy for eight years, and most recently at Pinecrest Foods for the last three years. His passion for travel was not confined to his career alone; Bob loved to explore new places, particularly enjoying cruises that allowed him to combine adventure with relaxation. An avid Kentucky Wildcats fan, he also delighted in grilling and experimenting with new techniques and flavors, often sharing his culinary creations with family and friends.

Above all, Bob cherished his family. He shared 38 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Barbara Jean Smith Harrison. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family circle that brought Bob immense joy. His mother, Linda Horn Sweeton of Berea, Kentucky, along with his sons Michael Hayslip (Kristy) of Aiken and Stephen T. Hayslip of Martinez, Georgia and his daughter, Mary J. Mullins (Jeremy) of Augusta. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Anastazia Lanier (Michael), Catherin Linares, Emilie Hayes (Cody), Ashley Roberts (Dalton), Gabriel Hayslip, Zoie Frady (Chris), Tyler Hayslip, Alaysia Hayslip, and his great-grandchildren Kale, Dalila, Zeke and Nate Lanier, Isabell, Wyatt, and Lillian Robertts, Ila, Blair, and Annika Webb.

Bob is also survived by his brothers to Charles Harrison (Bettie) of Aiken, Andy Harrison of Berea, Kentucky, and Kenneth Harrison, also of Berea. His nephews Robert Harrison (Amber) of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, Cody James Harrison (Imee) of Pensacola, Florida, and Justin Smith of Atlanta remember him fondly. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Joe Albert Harrison, Sr., as well as brothers Jimmy and Joe Harrison, and sister Brenda Sue Harrison.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, May 21, 2026, from 6 until 8 o'clock at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held the following day, May 22nd, at 11 o'clock at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The Reverend Wes Holbrook will officiate. Pallbearers will be Michael Hayslip, Stephen Hayslip, Gabriel Hayslip, Tyler Hayslip, Robert Harrison, and Cody Harrison.
