Rhuel Thomas Taylor

RHUEL THOMAS TAYLOR, 82, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in Aiken, SC

A native of Kansas City, KS, Rhuel was the son of the late Rhuel and Opal Stewart Taylor. He lived most of his life in Kansas City and had a successful career in advertising. Rhuel moved to Aiken 3 years ago from Leland, NC. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Surviving are his son, Matthew Taylor and son-in-law, Alix Taylor of Leland, NC; grandson, Tyler Daugherty and great-grandson, Colton Daugherty both of Florida and a brother, Donald Taylor of Hoxie, KS. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey Daugherty, a sister, Frieda Moles and a brother, Vernon Taylor.

Funeral services will be in Kansas City, KS, under the direction of Maple Hill Funeral Home. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
