Rebecca Ruth Fulton

Rebecca Ruth Wood Fulton died quietly on Wednesday May 18, 2022, at her home in Aiken, South Carolina, following an extended illness. She is survived by her husband, William H. Fulton, and one daughter, Jennifer Fulton Ratke (Joseph) of Purcellville, Virginia, and two grandchildren, Evelyn and Henry (Hank) Ratke. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nell Wood of Talladega, Alabama, and was born in Sylacauga, Alabama on March 1, 1944. She was a graduate of Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Alabama, and Talladega public schools. As a military wife she lived in a variety of cities and several other countries. In retirement she and her husband have been devoted to the restoration of their historic home in Aiken. A private graveside service will be held Pine Hill Cemetery in Talladega on May 23, 2022, conducted by Dr. John C. Bush. The family extends sincere appreciation to the staff of Kindred Hospice of Aiken for their end-of-life care.
