Randy Reed loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away at home at age 69 on August 23, 2026. Randy attended the University of Georgia and Midland Technical College. He enjoyed an exciting and rewarding career as a Professional Land Surveyor.

Randy loved soccer. He played soccer and coached many soccer teams in Aiken and Beaufort. He recently enjoyed watching all of the World Cup games with his friends. Randy enjoyed the outdoors including hiking, hunting, and fishing. One of his favorite activities was waterfall hikes with Debbie and his cherished granddaughter, LillyAnna.

Randy was a great storyteller. He always had a tale to tell about his life and many adventures. Most of the stories were true, but many of the tales he made up as he went along.

Randy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debbie, daughter Emily Richardson (James), granddaughter, LillyAnna Barton, sister, Coleen Reed, nephew, David Kangas (Amy Pou), and grandniece, Mackenzi Kangas.

Randy was predeceased by his parents, Doris and William Norris Reed and his brother, Leslie Reed.

Randy celebrated his life every day. Per his wishes no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hitchcock Woods Foundation. Hitchcock Woods was one of Randy’s favorite places in Aiken.
