Ralph Ludwig Moor, 71, passed away at his home on August 10, 2026.
Ralph was born in Ft. Hood, Texas. He is the son of the late Merrill Lewis Moor and Ingeburg Imhof Moor. Ralph graduated from The Academy of Richmond County and from Augusta College, now named Augusta University, with a degree in finance. Ralph loved dogs. He adopted retired Greyhounds, and in his later years adopted smaller dogs. Ralph enjoyed watching old television shows and dog videos. His sister could count on him sharing clips of “Teddy Tuesday”, a golden retriever who lives in the Greenville/Piedmont area of South Carolina. Ralph enjoyed visits to his sister and brother-in-law’s house for family gatherings, and he loved keeping up with what his nephews’ children were doing. His cousin, Carol, mentioned that she will miss the cards that he sent to her.
Ralph is survived by his sister, Inge (Robert) Moor Ginsburg of White Rock, SC; his three nephews, Adam M. (Summers) Ginsburg, Jordan M. Ginsburg, and Noah M. (Kayleigh) Ginsburg, all of Columbia, SC.; his great-nieces and great-nephews Tulip F. Ginsburg, Yorick J. Ginsburg, Victoria A. Bates, and Shawn W. Bates; his cousins Carol (Regis) Reddinger, Michael Reddinger, Audrey Reddinger, and Laura Reddinger of Bossier City, Louisiana; Ingeborg Bruckschlegel of Lauf, Germany; Lissi Samson of Nuremberg, Germany; and Ingrid (Gunther) Auerochs of Allersberg, Germany. Ralph is also survived by his beloved dog, Susie.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to PetSmart Charities, the ASPCA, or Harvest Hope Food Bank.
