Aiken SC - Phyllis Ann Lewis 78, beloved wife of Vernon C. Lewis passed away Sunday July 17th. 2022 at home surrounded by family.
A native of Bradley Beach NJ, the daughter of Felix (Duke) and Marie Petillo. She lived most of her life in Bradley Beach and Neptune NJ. before moving to Aiken in 2016.
Phyllis was happiest when she was spending her days with family as she had 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She was always planning holidays, parties, baby showers and BBQs to make sure we all got together often. She loved relaxing in the summer at the Park Place Ave beach where she sat with friends and family from the time she was a child. She will be missed greatly by all who spent time with her.
She was predeceased by her sister Joan Fronsoe (Petillo) and her son Brett Lewis.
She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Vernon, her daughter, Theresa Lewis, Windsor, SC; her son, Vernon J. Lewis (Michelle), Neptune City, NJ; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Pollina (Rob), Christopher Miller (April), Matthew Miller (Justine), Jessica Lewis, Desiree Lewis, Sara Lewis, Tyler Lewis, Samantha Lewis; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held in New Jersey.
