Philip Roy Singley

Philip Roy Singley, 75, beloved husband of Rebecca Giron Singley, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023 in Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia.

A native of Newberry, SC, Phil was a son of the late Augustus and Geraldine Longshore Singley.  He had a successful career as an engineer with Bechtel Corporation working in Arizona and Pennsylvania before moving to Aiken in 1990.  He retired from Bechtel at the Savannah River Site after a 23 year career.  He was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church.  Phil was always eager to lend a hand to his elderly neighbors, friends and members of Millbrook.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of 33years, Rebecca, include his son, Stewart Bevins (Dorothy), Carlisle, PA; daughter, Susan P. Paul-Hus (Stephan), Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Jonathan Bevins, Nathaniel Bevins, Jonothan Reynolds, Rachel Paul-Hus, Collin Paul-Hus, Sara Rister, Miranda Price; his sister, Lisa S. Rister (Charles), Chapin, SC.

A memorial service may be held at a later date.
