Philip J. Klint

August 31, 1943 — April 5, 2024

Aiken, SC

Philip James Klint (Phil) passed away in Aiken, SC on April 5, 2024 at the age of 80 years.  He is survived by his wife Lynn (76), son Dan (50) and daughter-in-law Robin, daughter Ashley (46) and son-in-law Kelly, and granddaughter Decklyn (10).

Phil was born on August 31, 1943 in Wichita, KS and grew up in Hastings, NE.  In 1968, he graduated from Law School at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.  He then taught middle school before entering the military as a Captain in the Army in 1969.  While he was initially stationed at Ft. Gordon, Phil met his wife Lynn in Augusta, GA.  Phil left military service in 1973 and started a law practice in Hastings, NE where his son Dan was born.  He and his family moved to Denver, CO in 1977 where his daughter Ashley was born and where he practiced corporate law for an oil company until 1983.  In Denver, he then again started his own private law practice while he also began buying and selling cars.  A few years later, Phil stopped practicing law and decided to focus on the car business which he continued doing into the 2010’s.  In the early 2000’s, Phil and Lynn moved to Aiken, SC, where Phil shared a small car lot and then retired.

Phil was a loving husband and caring father who loved cars and playing golf and card games like Bridge and Jin Rummy.   He also enjoyed watching sports including Nebraska Cornhusker football, the Denver Broncos and PGA Golf (the Masters in particular, which he was fortunate to attend in person a few times over the years).  While his kids were growing up in Colorado, Phil skied nearly every winter weekend with his wife & children, and he attended the children's swim meets and golf tournaments during the summer months.  He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
