Patrick Brendan Flavin

Patrick Brendan Flavin, 86, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Patrick was born in Greenwich London, England February 18,1940 during The Blitz. Very shortly after his birth he was evacuated to Cork Ireland until the end of World War II. He returned to London, England in late 1944. On May 28th, 1960, he emigrated to Boston MA, served in the US Army from 1961 to 1964, then attended Boston University. After the army, he worked in various management positions with New England Life Insurance Company in Boston, MA and Kansas MO. He retired to Aiken, SC in January of 2005, where he loved to play golf and read books. While in Aiken, he volunteered with ACTS for eleven years.

He is survived by his siblings: Patricia Repa of Boston MA, Jeremiah Flavin of Houston TX, Shay Flavin of Western MA and Eleanor Fitzpatrick of Cork Ireland and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Jeremiah and Rita Flavin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 28, 2028 at Old St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Prior to the Mass, the family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at Shellhouse Funeral Home, 924 Hayne Ave.
