Patricia Page Robinson

Aiken - Mrs. Patricia Page Robinson, 71, beloved wife of Bill Robinson, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Patricia Lynn Page was born in Chicago, IL and lived there until age five, when the family moved to Webster Groves, MO. Her father was in the insurance business, and the family moved several more times before returning to the Chicago area when Pat was in high school. She graduated from Forest View HS and Harper College, earning a degree in nursing in 1972.

Later that year she married Bill Robinson and moved to Virginia where she and Bill spent the next thirty years. Pat worked as a nurse in a doctor’s office before she gave birth to her son Michael. She quit work to stay home and raise Michael and, later, daughter Karen. When the children reached school age, Pat returned to the workforce serving as school nurse at the local elementary school. She later entered the classroom as a kindergarten teacher’s assistant, a position she held for many years before retiring and moving to Aiken in 2001.

Pat was a kind, generous person who put everyone else’s needs before her own. She was a self-taught gourmet cook and became a master gardener after moving to Aiken. She was passionate about nutrition, health and gardening, and was quick to offer help, make a meal, or share one of her favorite recipes with anyone in need. She was an avid walker, and also learned to rollerblade. She took up golf in order to walk and spend quality time with Bill.

Pat loved to read. She instilled her love for reading in her children at an early age. She, Michael and Karen would come home from visits to the library, each with a bag full of books to read before returning to get yet more on the next visit. She loved music, especially Il Divo and Broadway musicals.

Pat was a devoted wife to Bill, loving mother to Michael and Karen, and “Nana” to grandchildren Cooper, Olivia and Cecily.

“Be Kind. Be Kind. Be Kind.” That was Pat’s mantra. She had the most radiant smile. Her smile was broad and her eyes sparkled when she shared her kind self with everyone around her.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, June 4, 2022 at SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC 29801
