Ollie Clifton Ashley, Jr.

Aiken – Mr. Ollie Clifton “O.C.” Ashley, Jr., 98, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Ashley was born on December 10, 1923 in Durham, NC, a son of the late Ollie Clifton Ashley, Sr. and Pansy Williams Ashley. A resident of Aiken since 1979, he was an E & I Mechanical Foreman for Dupont at SRS, was a member of Shaws Fork Baptist Church, and a member of ARCS. He was a loving husband and father that loved hunting, fishing, and mechanics. He was also a World War II veteran and served in ACTS. Survivors include his son, Ollie Clifton Ashley, III, grandsons; Caleb Ashley, Jim Andrews; sister, Betty Dickert; brother, Donald Ashley; nephew (by marriage), Terry Stephens; niece (by marriage), Zina Stephens. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Shaws Fork Baptist Church with the Reverend Donnie Royster officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Caleb Ashley, Cliff Ashley, Jack Norris, King Lawrence, Les Barrett, and Danny Beheler, Tilden Hildebrand. Memorials may be directed to Shaws Fork Baptist Church, 1085 Shaws Fork Rd., Aiken, SC 29805.
