AIKEN, SC - Nancy Thomas, beloved friend, sister and cousin, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, at the age of 84. Born and raised in the vibrant streets of New York City, Nancy's journey through life led her to touch the hearts of many.
In her twenties, Nancy embarked on a new chapter, relocating to New Jersey, where she dedicated herself to a career as an accountant. She lent her sharp mind and keen eye for detail to esteemed companies like Diamond Shamrock and National Exchange Carrier Association, leaving a lasting mark with her diligence and professionalism.
After decades of hard work, Nancy embraced the well-deserved fruits of her labor, retiring to the serene landscapes of Aiken 18 years ago. It was here that she discovered her passion for golf, becoming a cherished member of the Houndslake Country Club community. Her days were often spent on the course, where she found solace and joy in the company of fellow enthusiasts.
Beyond her professional achievements and recreational pursuits, Nancy's love knew no bounds, especially when it came to her canine companions. A devoted dog lover, she found immense joy and comfort in the presence of her furry friends.
Nancy's memory will be forever cherished by her friends, her sister, and all her cousins scattered across Pennsylvania. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and unwavering love.
In honor of Nancy's life and her passion for dogs, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare at 199 Willow Run Road, Aiken, SC 29801.
