Nancy Hicks Pruitt

NANCY HICKS PRUITT, 83, widow of Joseph Alonzo Pruitt, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, May 8, 2025 in Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

A native of Anderson, SC, Nancy was a daughter of the late Eris Wilson Hicks and Callie Terry Hicks. She lived 60 years of her life in Anderson, where she was a realtor with Caldwell Banker Real Estate. Nancy moved to Aiken 23 years ago where she worked and retired from the jewelry department of Walmart on Whiskey Road.

Nancy was a spunky lady, independent and full of spirit with an unwavering love for her family. Her favorite colors were blue and purple.

Surviving are her two children, Rusty Pruitt (Laura) of Aiken, Melissa Scragg of Anderson; grandchildren, Trevor Pruitt of Charleston, SC, Joshua Pruitt (Lacey) of Aiken, Cameron Pruitt (Brooke) of Aiken, Callie Bromeling (Justin) of Anderson, Lydia Scragg (fiancée Nicholas Weiner) of Anderson and Rachel Scragg of Anderson. Nancy is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Sydney, Saylor, Brayden and Colton Pruitt. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Gilreath and brother, Junior Hicks.

In keeping with her wishes, a private service for her immediate family will be held in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Anderson.
