Nancy A. Eynon

March 12, 1931 — May 11, 2023

Nancy Appleman Eynon of Aiken, SC, passed away on May 11, 2023. Nancy was born on March 12, 1931 to Lawrence and Margaret Appleman at the Columbia Womens Hospital in Washington, DC. After graduating from Wilson High School in 1949, she went on to study at Southern Seminary College in Virginia. In 1953, Nancy married her high school sweetheart, Everett Eynon, Jr. in Washington, DC where they would raise and educate three children, Everett III, Vicki and Betsy. Nancy had a robust social life that began at Wilson High School and continued on with all the terrific friendships she made at Columbia Country Club. From jogging thru Rock Creek Park to playing tennis (and winning the Club Championship multiple times), or her infamous Washington Redskins parties, she always loved a good time. A proud Washingtonian, Nancy was persuaded, when Everett retired in 1996, to move from her beloved hometown to Aiken, SC. There they would enjoy a beautiful home on the 8th hole at The Aiken Golf Club. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was affectionately known as “NanE”. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Everett, brother John, sister Peggy, and her parents. She is survived by her son, Everett Eynon, III (Robin) of Columbia, SC, daughters Victoria Eynon McNair (Jim) of Aiken, SC, and Elizabeth Eynon Crawford (Martin) of Dallas,TX; seven grandchildren, Kristin Eynon Lowe (Scott), Lauren Eynon Wells (Daniel), Everett Eynon, IV; James M. McNair, III (Katie), Blair McNair Kearse (Justin); Margaret Crawford, Bo Crawford; and six great-grandchildren, Charles Lowe, Jack Lowe; Margaret Wells, William Wells; Kellen Kearse, and Mia McNair. Nancy would want us to celebrate a life well lived, and would ask that we all “charge on”!
