AIKEN, SC – MICHELLE REEVES ROGERS, 53, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native and life-long resident of Aiken, Michelle was a daughter of Diane Thomas Reeves and the late Herman Andrew “Andy” Reeves. She graduated from USC-Aiken School of Nursing and was a registered nurse. After graduation she worked at the VA Medical Center and University Hospital in Augusta prior to working at Aiken Regional Medical Center for over 30 years and a nurse and nursing supervisor. Michelle was a devoted, loving and caring mother to her two daughters, she worked and provided for her family literally until she couldn’t work anymore. Her daughters and grandchildren never questioned her devotion and whether they were loved.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, Diane, include two daughters, Ashley Paige Reeves (William), Amanda Jamie O’Conor (Joe); grandchildren, Anndee Lewis, Stirling Sears, Kensleigh Rogers, Joey O’Conor and Chloe O’Conor, all of Aiken; her brother, Christopher Reeves (Stephanie), Durham, NC.
The hospital nurses and staff held a vigil in Michelle’s memory Saturday evening, October 16th at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Funeral services will be private.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Eric Mulhbaier, Keith Glover, and the nursing staff at Aiken Regional for their compassion, care and friendship.
