Michael Haschker

MICHAEL HASCHKER, 67, beloved husband of Andrea Freitag Haschker, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

A native of Offenbach Germany Michael was a son of the late Gerald and Maria Schmitt Haschker. Michael grew up as an army brat but home was never a city it was where his family and friends were. He graduated from Heidelberg high school in 1975 before proudly serving in the US Navy 1975-1979. After completing his computer engineering degree Michael started a professional career at MUSC where he worked for 36 years in telehealth communications. Michael loved being surrounded by nature and was a passionate hunter, fisherman, diver and golfer.

Surviving is his wife of 25 years, Andrea; two daughters, Asia Ennis (Dustin), Aiken, SC, Kristen Haschker, Summerville, SC; three grandchildren, Dreamarion Stewart Jr., Hazel Ennis, Brynn Ennis; his brother, Kenny Haschker, Tampa, FL and his sister, Barbara Haschker, Triangle, VA.

A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be Sunday afternoon, April 6th beginning at 1 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following until 3’clock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe directed to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
