Merit James Henderson

Merit James Henderson, 36, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Merit was born in San Diego, CA, son of David and Susan Davis Faulkner, Aiken, and David Henderson, Fort Worth, TX. He spent his formative years in the Tri Cities of Washington.

Merit was a gifted artist. As an adult he adopted building supplies and materials as his medium. He passionately looked for the best solutions to provide aesthetics and quality to home repairs and remodeling.

Merit deeply enjoyed studying the Bible and was always ready for theological conversations.

In addition to his parents, Merit is survived by his children, Payten Henderson and Allyxis Henderson of Benton City, WA and Kayden Henderson of Selah, WA; his sister, Natania Cram, Kennewick, WA; his brother, Maxwell Faulkner, Pasco, WA; his grandmother, Jane Tracy, Aiken, and his best friend, Sarah Fletcher Watkins, Aiken.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Faulkner.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Cornerstone Baptist Church with the Reverend Steve Hannah officiating.  A visitation will follow the service at the church. Interment will be held privately in Bethany Cemetery.
