MARILYN TRONIER, 92, beloved wife of Ronald Bruun Tronier, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025 in her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Murray, Utah on January 21, 1933; the only child of LeMoyne Lyerla Hatch and Esther Alleen Fagg. She loved dancing and met her husband Ronald at the age of 12 in dance class. Her favorite type of dancing was ballet.

Ronald and Marilyn were married on September 5, 1953 in the Salt Lake City, Temple. This year they celebrate their 72nd wedding anniversary. They had six children.

Ronald joined the Airforce, and they lived all over the United States and overseas: San Antonio, Texas; Bainbridge, Georgia; Tripoli, Libya; Pordenone, Italy; Enid, Oklahoma; Salt Lake City, Utah; Chandler, Arizona; Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota; Horace, North Dakota; and for the past 35 years in Aiken, South Carolina.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Ronald Bruun Tronier, and children Tamralynn Clark (Randy), Michele Wickham (Michael), Michael Bruun Tronier, Teresa Tronier, Shawn Aaron Tronier (Jana), and Christopher Lee Tronier (Patty). She has 15 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

She was an avid painter, specializing in oil painting and folk art. She taught extension classes in painting at North Dakota State University. When visiting many of her friends and family you will find her artwork displayed.

She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a member of the Aiken Ward since 1990. Through the years she served in many church callings and was a temple worker for 20 years in the Columbia, South Carolina Temple.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, September 26th from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held Saturday morning, September 27th at 10 o’clock at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Aiken. The service will be livestreamed at https://iframe.dacast.com/b/156599/c/585055 . Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (cff.org).
