Margaret "Peggy" Thomas (nee Kehrer) passed away on July 26, age 85. Beloved wife of 42 years to the late Stephen Thomas; dear sister of Charles and the late James Kehrer; sister-in-law to Dawn Thomas and Marilyn Keener. Mother to the late Hali Jean Jones, cherished aunt to Kathleen Squire, adored grandmother of Amie and great-grandmother of Irina and Antonio.
Having spent most of her life in Cleveland, Peggy moved to Aiken, South Carolina with Steve in 2008.
Living life to the fullest, Peggy enjoyed traveling with Steve and their entourage of friends. Tales of these trips via cruises or the beaten road have delighted many. Meeting friends over Mahjong and cards filled the times between. Her family will miss being hosted, welcomed, in the brightness of the houses she made beautiful with her natural sense for homemaking.
Above all, she was a lady in the truest sense of the word: elegant, refined, and eternally fashionable. Peggy will be remembered with deep affection for her presence, her sense of humor, and her appreciation of a good time.
A celebration of her life will be held starting at 4:30 PM on the eighth of September at P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub, located at 17119 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio. Dinner will be served at six.
SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC 29801.
