Maleeta Lucy Wilson

Maleeta Lucy Wilson, 82, a homemaker and devoted family woman, departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at her home in Aiken, SC surrounded by her loving daughters.

Born on August 31, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio, Maleeta was a daughter of the late Harry Wilbur and Martha Jane Ague Burns. Her life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her home and loved ones. She shared a beautiful life with her beloved late husband, Charles Douglas Wilson, with whom she found joy and companionship in their shared passions. Together, they delighted in RVing and riding their motorcycles, adventures which brought them closer and enriched their lives with cherished memories. In addition to these pursuits, Maleeta held a genuine love for traveling, embracing the opportunity to experience new places and cultures.

Her legacy is carried forward by her devoted daughters: Christine Wilson Beal and her husband Douglas of Lincolnton, GA; Cheryl Barrantes and her husband Erick of Aiken; and Amy Wilson, also of Aiken. Maleeta was a proud grandmother to Savannah Beal and Zachary Beal, who brought her immense joy and pride. Maleeta also shared a treasured companionship with Maggie, her faithful poodle, who remained loyally by her side for the past three years.

The family will gather to honor and remember Maleeta’s life at a private graveside service at Southlawn Cemetery.
