Lynda Chapman Bloch

AIKEN, SC - Lynda Chapman Bloch, born June 5, 1950 in Lexington, Virginia passed peacefully away to her new life on June 29, 2023 in Aiken, South Carolina. She was greeted there by her loving parents, Elmer and Gladys Chapman, her older brother, Richard Meador, a nephew, Linwood Chapman, a niece, Penny Chapman, her first husband, Stephen Wessel, her step-father, A.B. Lumbo, many aunts, a large pack of her beloved dogs, and a whole herd of horses, ponies and donkeys. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Rob Bloch of Aiken, a brother, Gerald Chapman, her sister, Betty Wilson, her niece and oft-times companion Jacqueline Lumbo Wolfe (Brian) of West Palm Beach, grandniece, Lea Wolfe, and "adopted" niece Miranda Hall, whose loving and tireless support of Lynda these past two years will always be cherished. And then there are Kipper and Dixie, her two Old English Sheepdogs, still watching the front door.

A memorial and celebration of Lynda's life will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the home of Lynda and Rob, 241 Laurens St., SW Aiken, SC 29801.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a local animal shelter of one's choice.
