Lucie Zilla, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on September 5, 2026. She was 92.
Born on December 21, 1933, in Poland, Lucie lived a long life marked by devotion to her family and by the work she shared with her husband. She and her husband, Herby, formerly owned and operated Herby’s Boatyard in Lindhenhurst, New York, a meaningful part of their life together and a reflection of their dedication and partnership.
Lucie will be remembered with love by those who survive her, including her daughter, Lorraine Campbell, her son, Herbert Zilla (Anna) and her grandchildren, Kayla Campbell and Herby Zilla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herby Zilla; and her parents, Rudolph and Emily Bilow Gertz.
No service is planned.
