Llewellyn Garvin Durden

AIKEN, SC - Mrs. Llewellyn Garvin Durden, 89, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023. A lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mrs. Durden was the daughter of the late Earl Garvin and Mae Anderson Quattlebaum. She started her career with Southern Bell Telephone Co. in 1956 and retired from AT&T in the early 1980s. Mrs. Durden went on to get her real estate license, becoming the owner and broker of Point South Reality. She is survived by her children, Rosemary P. Busbee, Patricia P. Williams, Fred W. (Terry) Plunkett, Jr., all of Aiken; grandchildren, James Marvin Williams, Jr., Lewis B. (Pamela) Williams III, Wesely Earl (Dawn) Williams, great-grandchildren, Hunter King Williams, James Fischer Williams, Sullivan Rose Williams, Javin Lee Williams, Emily Williams, Addie Williams, Harlow Williams; siblings, Edward Garvin, Clemson, SC, Linda Sue Gunter, Wagener, SC, Joe (Debbie) Quattlebaum, Wagener, SC; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laura Gabriel Busbee. A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Scott Family Cemetery, 250 Langdon Rd., Aiken, SC 29805. The family will receive friends following the service at the grave. The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity on Laurens for the love and care of Mrs. Durden over the last five years.
