Kristy Joelle Burnette

AIKEN, SC – KRISTY JOELLE BURNETTE, 29, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 15, 2021.

A native and life long resident of Aiken, Kristy was a daughter of Jenny McDougal Burnette and James Glen Burnette.  Kristy loved shooting guns, playing with swords, fishing with her kids and her nieces and nephews that called her “Aunt CoCo”, their crazy aunt.  She would always bring home any kind of animal, from birds, turtles, squirrels, possums, deer and pig for her and the kids.  She also loved spending time with A’Lonna and Landyn doing all kinds of outdoor activities including her over the top picnics…that’s what made her happy!  Kristy was our 4’11” strong willed, goofy li’l firecracker, all rolled into one li’l dynamite package!  Head strong till the end.  We will truly miss our aka Li’l Krispy.  You are forever in our hearts.

Surviving, in addition to her parents are two children, A’Lonna Kamylle Joelle Jones and Landyn Kruz Kenneth Beltran; three sisters, Jennifer Lynn Burnette, Amanda Jane Burnette, Jamie Michelle Burnette; maternal grandparents, Jane and Jack McDougal. Kristy was “Aunt Coco” to her nieces and nephews, Haley Jane Villatoro, Ava Tharyn Burnette, Treyton Jensen Langford, Liam Zayne Miller and Asher Kane Miller.  She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Rosaleen and James E. Burnette.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, November 21^st beginning at 12:30 PM at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 2 o’clock in the chapel.  Interment will be in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
