Kathleen Frampton Crosby

Kathleen Frampton Crosby, passed away peacefully at her home in Aiken, SC on May 24, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on February 22, 1953, in Charleston, South Carolina, Kathleen devoted her life to service and community, leaving a lasting impression through both her professional career and her personal passions.

Kathleen was a retired Rural Letter Carrier from the U.S. Postal Service in Maryland, where she dedicated many years to ensuring her community stayed connected through her reliable and friendly service. Beyond her work, she was known for her deep love of animals, particularly horses and dogs. Her garden was a sanctuary where she spent countless hours nurturing plants and cultivating beauty in her yard.

Kathleen held strong beliefs and was an engaged citizen. Her involvement in civic and political life reflected her commitment to her values, her community, and the causes she believed in.

Kathleen is survived by her loving daughter, Lindsay A. Crosby of Aiken, SC; her son, Michael L. Crosby II and his wife Yeliz of Charlotte, NC; and her sister, Rebecca Sears of New York City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Crosby; her parents, Henry and Mary Hutto Frampton; and her brother, John Frampton.

Her funeral service will be held Monday morning, June 1st at 11 o'clock at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at the funeral home following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, the American Cancer Society, or the Aiken Equine Rescue.
