Karen Owen Glenn

JACKSON, SC - Karen Owen Glenn of Jackson, SC, passed away on March 18^th, 2021.

     Karen was born in North Carolina, on December 31^st, 1953, to William Owen Jr and Betty Jo Owen. She graduated from South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind in 1974.

While attending school, she met Gerard Glenn, and they were married in 1976. After moving to Jackson, they had their only son Robbie.

     Karen was a faithful servant of God. She was a devoted member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church. She loved spending time with her church family, helping with church activities and trips.

     Karen was preceded in death by her parents, William (Bill) Owen and Betty Jo Owen.

     She is survived by her husband, Gerard (Gerry) Glenn, son, Robert (Robbie) Glenn, his wife, Jana Glenn and granddaughter Raegan Glenn. Karen is also survived by brother William (Billy) Owen, his wife Debra Owen, nephew William (Will) Owen and his wife Amanda W. Owen. She is also survived by brother Scott Owen, his wife Mary Owen, and nieces Alexandra (Alex) Owen, Madeline (Maddie) Owen and Emma Owen.

     The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, March 20^th beginning at 1 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 2 o’clock with Pastor Ray Cole officiating.  The service will be livestreamed on the Shellhouse-Rivers Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/srfhandsfh .  Private interment will be in Southlawn Cemetery.
