Kaminer Haislip Quinn, loving wife of Matthew Kyle Quinn, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the age of 46.

Internationally known as a gifted artist and brilliant silversmith, but to those she held dear, she was most notably a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, loyal friend and joyful teacher. She had a passion for living and was the catalyst for bringing her circle of dear friends together. The hallmark of her friendship will leave an indelible mark on those she loved.

Born on January 28, 1980 in Augusta, Georgia, Kaminer was the daughter of Elmer Detwyler, Jr. and Lyanne Franklin Haislip. She attended Mead Hall Episcopal Day School and Millbrook Elementary School, Kennedy Middle School, and graduated from South Aiken High School. She earned a BFA in Jewelry and Metals from Winthrop University in 2002 and graduated Cum Laude. She continued her graduate studies at Winthrop University, earning an MFA in Silversmithing and Design with a Minor in Sculpture in 2005. She was a sorority member of Sigma Sigma Sigma. Kaminer was an active member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Rebecca Motte Chapter; Daughters of the Cincinnati; and The Mayflower Society.

In addition to her husband and parents, Kaminer is survived by a brother, Elmer Detwyler Haislip, III (Wylie) of Aiken, S.C., her maternal aunts and uncles Brenda Franklin Buchanan (Aiken) and Barry Nicholson Buchanan (deceased), Robert Lee Buchanan, Jr. and Clara Robeson Buchanan (Aiken), Dr. James Darling and Patricia Buchanan Darling (Marietta, Ga.) sisters and brothers in law Cathy and Patrick Graham Trask (Houston, Texas) and Leslie and Sean Quinn (Baltimore, Maryland). Nieces and nephews Patrick Graham Trask, Jr., William Clark Trask, Lillian Quinn Trask, Ryan Healy Quinn, and Caroline Leslie Quinn. Paternal aunts and uncles Thomas Scott Haislip (Becky), Clinton Haislip (deceased) and Linda Bayne Haislip, James Anthony Haislip (Carol), Linda Haislip Mowery (Brent), Mark Steven Haislip, Darla Haislip Lewis (John).

Honorary Pallbearers; Nephews; Patrick Graham Trask, Jr., William Clark Trask, Ryan Healy Quinn, Cousins; Derek Haislip, Jake Haislip, James Anthony Haislip, Jr., Shane Haislip, Seth McNair, Frederick McNair V, Justin Haislip, Jeremy Haislip, Franklin Nicholson Buchanan, William Tarrant Buchanan, Dr. Robert Lee Buchanan III, John Shafer, Brian Randolph Scott.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, April 18, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church, Aiken, South Carolina with the Rev. Dr. Chris Erde and the Rev. Dr. Beth Yarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Bethany Cemetery. The graveside service will be private for family.
